Revit Delivering a Project in BIM for Construction
Building Contractors now realize the potential in Building Information Modeling to improve the delivery of projects. Although the typical contractor does not need to understand the detailed functionality of Revit, they would still need to know how to gain the most out of the Revit Model. The Delivering a Project in BIM course for Contractors covers the basics of modeling in Revit and goes into detail on how best to structure your model for construction purposes.
The course will cover how to use the model to discover clashes digitally, evaluate constructability, work with the entire project team and integrate subtrades into the modeling process. At the end of the course, the student will be able work with providers of Revit models to determine the optimal structure for their project.
Who should take this course?
Project managers, estimators, subtrade representatives, who want to gain a basic understanding of how BIM with Revit can improve their processes..
Who should not take this course?
Contractors representatives who wish to understand the detailed functionality of the Revit model. These individuals should look at our other Revit Delivering a Project in BIM courses for this purpose.
Prerequisites:
None, although basic computer application knowledge is a benefit. In addition, knowledge of building technology and construction is valuable.
What you should expect after taking this course:
Participate on a Revit project team; understand the potential and functionality of the Revit platform.
Follow-up:
As part of a complete Revit implementation, the Delivering a Project in BIM course should be followed up by working with the modeling team to utilize modeled information for purposes outlined in the assessment phase of a Revit for construction implementation.
