Ecotect Analysis Foundations

This 2-day course is an introduction to this powerful sustainability analysis platform. Through this course, users will cover a wide range of simulation and analysis functionality through the desktop and web-service platforms contained in Ecotect and Green Building Studio. By the end of the course students will be able to utilize the powerful 3D tools to explore solar, shadows and reflections, and daylighting. They will also be able to quickly evaluate multiple design alternatives for energy efficiency and carbon neutrality.

Who should take this course?
Designers who wish to gain better insight into building performance early in the process, helping to achieve more sustainable designs and lower project costs.

Who should not take this course?
Engineers who wish to gain exact analysis results for design purpose may take the course but should understand the true value of this platform.

Prerequisites:
None, but familiarity with the Revit Model will help with understanding its preparation for use in Ecotect..

What you should expect after taking this course:
You should be able to use the tools within Ecotect either on their own or with a Revit model for preliminary energy analysis and presentation.
