Summit Technologies was created in 2007 to help our clients leverage the potential of Building Information Modeling (BIM). It is widely accepted that there is a large amount of waste in the construction process. We quickly realized that the use of this technology, if implemented effectively, would help harness the computers power, limit waste in construction and provide a platform for managing your building from inception.

Most importantly; if a proper Building Information Model is delivered after construction, you will have a platform on which to manage, plan and renovate throughout the life of your building.
• As an owner, you do not expect to be involved in the digital deliverable from your project team. However, the Building Information Model is crucial to the proper design and construction of your project.

• BIM will be the foundation for the management of your building once it is occupied:
  Maintenance scheduling; equipment and data should be contained in the BIM. Assets – furniture, equipment, finishes; inventory and management of any and all should be done from the BIM. Future renovations and additions; the existence of an intelligent model will aid in the planning and execution of future work. Environmental impact; a true BIM can be used to evaluate building performance and to plan for changes to enhance it
