CAD

AutoCAD
AutoCAD is the industry standard 2D and 3D drafting package from Autodesk. AutoCAD has an open architecture which has allowed thousands of developers to create applications that work with AutoCAD to meet the specific needs of Autodesk - varied user base. In addition, AutoCAD drawings can be used as a starting point for most of Autodesk’s more advanced applications such as Revit and Inventor.

AutoCAD LT
AutoCAD LT is the 2D, basic version of the full AutoCAD platform. For those who require a straight-on drafting solution and do not need applications designed for their specific environment, AutoCAD LT is a viable solution.

AutoCAD Architecture
AutoCAD Architecture shares the AutoCAD platform, but its purpose is architectural drafting and design. By using the advanced capabilities of this platform, many of the tedious drafting tasks contained in generic packages can be avoided and replaced with purpose-built capabilities.

AutoCAD MEP
AutoCAD MEP shares the AutoCAD platform, however, its purpose is mechanical, electrical and plumbing drafting and design. Many of the tedious drafting tasks contained in generic packages can be avoided and replaced with purpose-built capabilities by using the advanced capabilities of this platform.

Revit - all platforms
Revit, although more known for its 3D modeling capabilities, it is also a purpose-built drafting engine. For those committed to BIM, the Revit drafting environment leverages intelligent components to simplify the detailing process and help to integrate the entire BIM team.
